I'm having a simular sound in my 07. I wouldn't discribe mine as fingers on a chalk board though. My sound is more like a squeal of metal. Strange thing is it only does it in cold weather, and when the engine is cold. Pretty much stops after getting to operation temps. I'm also having big time engine pinging. Think I have carbon build up that I need to attend to. Car only has 18000 on it.

Maybe a rock stuck in a caliper. Never had that on this car but I did have that happen on my Grand Prix.

mine happens all the time..... but when i turn to the right sharply
maybe it's something stuck on a brake component or something like someone said....
