Exclamation O2 Sensors

Hey everyone,

I was putting back my O/R H on the car yesterday,
but when I was transferring the O2 sensors, I got
2 of them out the catted and on the O/R but one
of them is stuck and there is no way it's coming out.
Probably because this is the 3rd time I do it, and the
bolts thread pattern is messed up.

I have two questions:

1. Would it hurt the car to drive without 1 O2 sensor for a day or two?

2. Do you know if the dealer sells O2 sensors, and how much do they cost?

Please help, my car is on jack stands and it's Saturday!

you can get a bosch sensor part number 15717 or 15716 and it should work just as oem. These can be found at many stores like NAPA, Autozone or Advanced. About 40-50 bucks to replace. i think the car will run just fine and if you have them shut off in the tune then it wont matter anyway.

Do you have visegrips or any tools like that? I would think they with the grip offered by that you should be able to get it loose along with lubericant.

I will look into the Bocsh parts.
My o2 sensors are turned off in the tune, so your telling my that keeping the
hole for the 3rd sensor open won't hurt a thing? Water coming in? air coming out?

The problem is not the grip anymore,
I rented a tool from Advance that's designed
for o2 sensors, but by the time I got it, we have already messed
up the outer bolt pattern, it's like a circle now
without the 6 edges if you know what I mean.

yes but with a vise grip that wont matter.....it will grip and not "spin" on the 02 sensor. I would just get a new one since its already messed up.

I mean you can run without one for a day or so....you need to plug the hole if you are going for a long period of time.

Thanks Howarmat, I'll probably get the Bosch 15716 today.
I noticed the 15717 is just the same but longer. I don't need it.

I just have one last question, I noticed when I was removing
the catted H that one of the bolts that connect to the headers
was not there, it probably came loose and fell off.
You think I could find one of these bolts somewhere? Advance?

you might be able too....im not sure on the specs for the bolts....i cant see them "falling" out either with as much torq is required when you put them in.

I just got back from Advance, I got the 15716.
Waiting for the rain to stop so I could put the O/R H back on.
Thanks for the help Matt.

I still have to figure out something about the manifold bolt though.

you can just get plugs rather then a new o2 sensor since there not used anyways, and always use anti-seize

wow, didn't know that I could just use plugs. Where could I find the plugs?
How do I seal the connection of the sensors on the car?
