zex kit yah or nah???

I have 88,000 miles on my 4.0, running a 75 shot.
If you buy the Zex kit you have essentially all that you need - except get a tuner and install a nitrous specific tune. I had my car dyno tuned by Lidio at Alternative Auto and have a tune just for nitrous on 93 octane that I use at the track. I don't think that the Zex kit comes with a pressure gauge so you need to add that - you want 900+ lbs of pressure for best performance.
A purge kit can be helpful to make sure you have a good supply ready before hitting the throttle.
A window switch is also a good idea for safety. For awhile I acted as my own "window switch" and didn't hit the arm button until I saw the tach go over 2500. That makes the launch difficult to keep track of everything. I have a window switch now so that the nitrous won't turn on until I hit 2800 rpm and turns off at 6100 so the transmission can shift. That keeps me from spraying too low in the rpms and too high or at rev limiter and allows the shift to occur smoothly without worrying about the rpm's dropping too low.
The Zex nitrous management unit is on the right and the window switch on the left on the CAI in this picture:
Depending upon where you live a bottle heater is a good idea. Here in Michigan it is starting to get cooler out. Last time at the track, with a full bottle, I couldn't get over 800 lbs. Once I added the heater I could get a partially full bottle up to almost 900. In the summer, and with a black car, keeping the pressure up wasn't an issue.
Of course you also need a spot for the switches for the system. I use the SOS cupholder switchplate. Nitrous arm is upper left, purge is lower left, and heater is lower right. The upper right is for the line locks.

My best so far, supported by a time slip, is:
JimC- 2006 Pony 4.0 Auto Convertible N20(75), CAI, T, AB, DR, DE, DS 13.875 @100.27MPH w/ 2.153 60'
I've had better 60' times (2.052) so the launch was not that good, which means with a better launch the car has more in it. Hopefully this weekend at Milan with the full bottle, heater, and window switch I will get a better launch and new personal best. Last time out the bottle pressure wouldn't come up over 750-800 (heater wasn't on yet) and I was running in the 14.01 - .02 range at a slippery track.
