How should I wire the gauges?
Okay I made the order the other day for a center counsel gauge pod, Innovate wideband a/f, a fuel pressure gauge and a boost/vacuum gauge as I'm preparing for a supercharger. This is how I was going to run the wires is it okay?
- Using the radio harness to run my power and ground. (I have a carpc and currently the radio harness isn't being used so I figured that would be easiest.)
- Using an add a fuse to tap into the headlight fuse and from there run that to the gauge so the light will come on when I turn the head lights on.
My question is would it be safe to run all 3 gauges off of the same wiring? I would use probably a 12 gauge wire for the main power, ground and light and then splice off of that to the 3 gauges. I don't think the gauges draw too much power it's just a few leds.
What do you guys think, or better yet if you have gauges how did you wire them?
Thanks

Alright cool that's what I figured too. One more thing that amp fuse do you think I should use? I can't find any power ranges on the gauges so I'm not sure what amp fuse to run. I guess I could always just start with a low fuse and work my way up until it powers the gauges. If I go too high of an amp it makes having a fuses pointless and if I go too low it wont power the gauges.
