Default Wheel advice.

My friend has some wheels and tires off of his 2001 Mustang he wants to sell. He wants $900 for the set. I am not sure if I like them. What do you think? I know the back could use a taller tire. I thought they felt a bit stange on the road.

I had them on my car for one day. My wife thinks they are just too shiny and stand out to much.

$900 is alot if you dont like them very much and you would have to change the tires. I would say no go.

But I do think chrome looks good with a black car.

Good luck.

for $900? pass.

there are a lot of nicer setups you can get for +/- $1K (brand new at that).

They aren't bad, but $900 seems too high. Especially since you'd HAVE to go to a taller tire in the rear.

They aren't bad but yes it definetly needs a taller tire in the rear. With that being said I would pass because you are going to have a few hundred more into two new tires. You can get a brand new setup for less than that.

if you are going to lower the car then do that before oyu put new tires on ... I like the style and if you lower it I think it will look 1000 times better! tell him 700.00 and he has a deal...

They are 18" if that matters.

My stock wheels are 17".
