man, i remember those days! the wait is excrutiating!! doug will turn off your rear O2 sensors, leave trac control on unless you request otherwise, and i believe raises your rev limiter just a bit.

oh, and with the race tune, he makes your car take off like a cat with it's a$$ on fire.....

I love my tunes.I can't even remember what the stock tune was like. I haven't used it since.
I got the 87 performance, 89 torque and the 93 torque. I've been thinking about adding the 93 race to the list since gas prices are coming down.
The traction control rev limiter and stuff like that will still be up to you to change he only does the things that are needed to tune the engine better unless you have made a gear swap then he would've set that. He also might change the shift points for the automatics but I'm not sure about that since mine is a manual.

I've never asked before, but what is the key difference between a Performance tune and a Race tune?

Dougs tunes work kind of like this.......

Performance = Pulls really hard in the upper RPM range
Torque = Pulls really hard in the lower RPM range
Race = Pulls like a beast all the way through the RPM band. This is also accentuated by a SHARP increase in throttle response.....to the point that it requires some practice on a manual during daily driving. *love it*

You will forget all about the wait once you install the tunes on your car.....you will wonder why you waited so long to get it

I have had my Bama tunes for over a year now, so sometimes I take for granted the way it shifts and pulls now..... A tech had to drive my car when I was having it looked at recently for some gear work, and he came back and said...."Dang...I don't know what kind of computer chip work you've had done to this car....but it is dialed in right!!"
