Default Just got an exhaust silencer valve to satisfy my neighbor & kids, need an actuator?

Ever since i got my car I was planning on making it louder, and now that I have it with straight pipes I don't mind quieting it down when I'm going through a neighborhood (no really).

Anyway, here it is, my exhaust valve:

Now the only problem is I need an actuator of some sort that can keep up with the fast RPM sweeps (I'm having it be set off below below 3k).

I'm guessing something 50% stronger than the force used on the mustang throttle body is needed from my engineering education, there seems to be some friction in the valve.

Also it needs an interface that can understand 12v + signal = open, no signal = closed, and none of the complicated digital input.

Anyway what should I be using to move the cable for this rig?

it's being put into the mid pipes right at the end of them, it reduces noise by creating restriction, being 20% closed at max and fully open at the other end of the spectrum.

Won't that be hard on the exhaust valves?

put factory cats back on the car with a chambered muffler and run cutouts behind them...profit? cutout open = blow your ear drums out, cutout closed = quiet car

True but this requires less work.

Plus lambo, aston, bmw & corvette all use the system stock, so it has merit.

Some one said to use a 1.5in x 1.5 in vacuum activated cylinder with a 10lb return spring with a solenoid valve to control everything inside the vacuum line going into the cylinder.

Where would I find these two parts?
