Default installed CAI, throttle body, and tune, on my 06 GT

Just finished installing the BBK 62mm throttle body with the JLT 3 CAI on my windveil blue stang. Then Bama 87 tune. Went for a quick spin to check out the throttle response. I was pleasantly surprised by the new sound; Loving it!

Is it in my best interest to unplug the battery for a bit and do an idle relearn at this point?

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure when you uploaded that tune all of that stuff was reset.

You may need to reset your throttle calibration if you haven't already. You half turn your key, wait for the seatbelt light to go off, then slowly press down counting to five till you hit the floor, then count back down to five until it's all the way back. I'm pretty sure this is how I remember doing it, can anyone help me out?

Due to uploading the Bama custom tune, you don't need to unplug the battery. Adaptive learning starts as soon as you start driving.
You mentioned the sound difference, what about the performance gain feel?

As others have said, no need for an idle-relearn at this point. You've already flashed the PCM with the 87 octane Bama tune, which wipes the current KAM memory. Then adaptive learning kicks in and will adjust for weather and air conditions.

How does throttle response feel? Have you gotten a chance to test WOT yet? If not, you're in for a treat!

I too am looking to hear how much better the throttle response is. I'm looking to get a bigger TB myself. I did a flash with SCT and it made a great difference in throttle response.

I'm interested to see of the SR TB faces the same problems as the other aftermarket TB's. In either case, the stock flows more than enough air for an NA engine.

Throttle response is great! And WOT... WOW! Only had a little time for a quick trip around the neighborhood, but after that "oh s***" feeling when I first stepped on the pedal, it turned into multiple trips around. I should have more time this weekend to go for a nice cruise.

We've had a ton of positive feedback about the SR TB's with our customers and have had excellent experiences with our AM Project cars too. The SR TB definitely holds its own in the crowd of aftermarket TB's and as the OP stated, it pick up throttle response and well as overall power.

Try a few searches on the forum about the SR TB. I know there's a few example threads!

That's what I like to hear! haha. The first "test" is always fun to experience. I'm glad you're pleased buddy. Let me know how that longer cruise goes!
