Default question about 1/8th mile times and challengers

ok the challenger has been on this forum for a while, but since they recently have been selling a lot i thought i'd mention a couple things....a guy the other day at a car show bought a brand new 09 r/t and showed it off...THE GUY DIDNT CLEAN THE CAR SINCE HE BOUGHT IT!!! the engine bay was DISGUSTING with dirt and you cant even see one since inch of the engine over the plastic that covers it...well he said he took it to the local 1/8th mile and ran a 8.509, it was an automatic but is that number true or is that bogus? i know the 1/4 mile on that car is 14.5 at 99.0 according to road and track but motortrend says its 13.6 at 104.9 and car and driver says its 14.0 for the 1/4...considering i couldnt get any better than a 8.95 (20's wheels inflated (first time to the track)) i wouldnt think his car would be that much faster if at all than mine....what 1/8th mile times are you guys running stock, or with just a cai and tune like i have...anybody had a chance to race one yet (also mine is a manual so that could compensate for some of my bad 60ft times) o and his also had the factory 20's on it (so it had 3.90 gears)

btw i did not post this to bash challengers, i love them personally for the looks but everybody that buys one thinks its a damn zo6/zr1 vette or ferrari (notice how i put those two together lol)

don't know what they're running at the track but i did finally see one on the road today going to school. couple cars ahead of me so i cracked open my nitrous ready to see what he'd try.... caught up to him at the next light but he looked over and just stared at my car.... i gave him a quick little rev, he turned his blinker on and made a right turn. haha

an 8:50 in the 1/8 is about a 13:26 in the 1/4 UNDER PERFECT CONDITIONS (had to say that or get blasted with disagreeing peoples).

alright, i just thought that since the 1/4 mile times were slower than the stangs that the 1/8th mile times would be too, which is why i was asking for a stock gt 1/8th mile time as mine wouldnt be accurate
