I havent spoken with him yet, but seeing how the thread ( https://mustangforums.com/forum/s...d.php?t=481605 ) ended almost two months ago with no sign of a fix makes me alittle nervous. I thought changing the rear plate light was going to be as easy as removing one bulb and replacing it with another, but it seems that is not the case.

We were able to identify the issue and it basically calls for most 05-07 cars to run a resistor with the reverse lights only. The dome lights and license plate lights won't need the resistors.

We have the lights and the required resistors at the link below. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions. Thanks, Jared

Is there any splicing involved when installing the license plate lights?

The screws that you're speaking of aren't really screws but locks for a grommet. Just like the ones when you try and remove the radiator shroud you'll need to remove the screw looking piece first and then pop the other (grommet) piece out. Once you do that the assembly will easily come off.

I replaced the License lights with the LEDs from Lethal. No problems. Look great.
