Wheel Hop or Traction Control Problem?
#11
the tires have 16k miles on 'em; don't know exactly how much tread is left though, but there is still a fair amount.
so, it sounds like it's just wheel hop; that's what i was hoping, but it just seemed weird it did that only when tcs was on and in the rain (it never did it when i had it off while it was raining). i know this has been covered too, but does anyone have a particular aftermarket lca they are particularly fond of?

I have a hard time getting my tires to let loose. And when I try to burn rubber, I smell more of the clutch burning than I do thr tires. Thanks to BMR and Goodyear, there's not much hopping and spinning going on.

it was raining today and when i was out, many times when i would start accelerating (fast or slow) from a dead stop, the wheels would start to shudder like they would when you get wheel hop. it has happened in the past too, but only when it's raining out, and when i have traction control on. it seems different than when the t/c comes on in 2 ways: first, the car does not have that 'rpm drop' feel and second, the 'traction control active' note does not appear in the info display either. this has happened going up hill, down hill, on level ground, and turning. anyone got any ideas? is this 'normal' or does it sound like i have a problem with my t/c system. i've done a search, but found nothing similar to what's going on in my case.
I always have my TC on in the rain or wet roads, keeps the rear end in check. Wheel hop is normal in our cars...I love that feeling under acceleration of hitting a bump and thinking you've just lost your rear axle

t/c is always on in the rain and off when the roads are dry. i know wheel hop can be normal (i've been driving mustangs for 7 years straight now ), but it just seemed weird it would do it (for me) only in certain circumstances
thanks for the info. i was looking into some by bmr; do you or anyone else have experience with one of these two?
