oh... if hes paying 8 grand just for installation... ill drive to the guy and install it for 5grand!

Most shops here in Al charge between 75/hr and 85/hr for labor. Labor charges went up when the gas prices went up. You need to ask them how long will it take for the install and how much do they charge an hour.
