OP either doesn't have an 05 or is lucky. So far the car has needed the airbag sensor on the passenger seat reprogrammed. Alternator replaced. Strut mounts replaced. Passenger side front suspension work. Shaker 500 froze several times and dealership never found anything wrong. I'm at ~36.5k

While your at 130,000 miles I am not surprised. I say this because I have owned Ford's all my life and have driven them well over 100,000 miles mechanically trouble free. The only things I ever had problems with was electric window motors, brakes, radio's, etc. which is normal matinence anyways. As for the actual motors I have yet to kill one. My brother has a 97 GT with 170,000 and it is still going strong.

Cars arent perfect, it is common to have some defects in some. I know alot of people with imports having problems at early mileage too, its just the way it is. When a new model is mass produced the margin for error increases. I used to work at ford and I never had to work on a mustang for anything mayor, just the usual clutches, oil change, etc. And I know plenty of people over 200k with no major problems (for the older stangs obiosly). On a new model, the earlier models like the 05s obiosly had a few bugs that had to be re-worked.

yeah I have owned 3 fords, and never had mayor problems. I had an escort went over 100k no problem, and I actually own a Ford Probe and it has 180k. People are so ignorant, even if one ford breaks down they bash on all of them.
