I use about 1/4 quart between 10,000 mile oil changes of amsoil sso 0w-30. It's all about how well your piston rings seated when new.

I swapped my tranny fluid to Royal Purple synchromax at 5k miles. I'm now at 30k miles and the transmission keeps getting smoother and smoother. Great stuff.

Figure I'll run her out to 100k on that fill.

1. How many miles is the typically spark plug change, I here roughly 50k?
2. Have you very had a tranmission fluid flush/change, my mechanic keeps bugging me about I should have one done (10k miles ago)

Thanks for the advice!
Chare375 - I did my plugs only at 100,000 miles - follow the tsb for safe removal without breakage - I have a manual tranny which has no fluid change interval (I have not changed mine)

Update - I just did the RP trans fluid and the stock looked perfect when I drained it. It is so funny how many people come up to me at gas stations to check out the car and they are in disbelief that it has 135,000 miles...they guess about 10k
