Thanks Lethal,
I got employee pricing on it. I ended up paying about 430 out the door. Which in my opinion is amazing. Its cool too cause it comes with that faceplate that surrounds the radio and it matches perfectly to the material on the rest of the center section.

Sorry for the smudges. It got cleaned right after these pics once I saw how nasty it was.

It's a Kenwood DDX6019. I didn't want to sacrifice half an inch of screen space for a volume ****. Sometimes I miss the ****, sometimes not...

Interface is nothing special. Nicer interface with the ability to set pics as backgrounds comes on the next model up, with the exact same design.

Personally, I think it looks the best of everything I have seen matching the car wise. But I'm sure performance wise it is beat by many.

Pioneer Avic Z3 is the best hands down.

As far as a sub goes. Depends on what you are looking for, what kind of box you want to use, what music you listen to, etc.

Haha HoorayBeer just go with HT. I would change it, but I don't know how.

As for the mounting kit, I couldn't tell you. I had it installed at a local audio store called Audio Illusions and I don't know what he used. I just brought him the head unit and he did the rest.

Sorry...

Everyone's opinion is different in the car audio world. They promote what they have used and like. Pioneer make's the highest end in dash it has the most features and the largest user base with the largest amount of upgradeable software's and other items. The quality off all the indash's are about the same. Kenwood, pioneer, alpine. Everything is made in china or taiwan now to cut cost's and the quality has reduced dramatically in the last 7-10 years over the entire market. Features increase though.

These things are manufactured in 3rd world countries. But they are still designed in the US of A. My employer did an amplifier chip last year for a Bose in-car. Alpine is also looking at it.
