lowering the 500

The car will shift to one side so one wheel/tire will sit outside the fender while the other side sits inside the fender. I have the BMR adj panhard and no complaints at all. Price wasnt bad as i got during a group buy. Steeda will be good also but cost more probably. See if the guys over at Stangsuspension can hook you up with a forum deal perhaps on a package.

Some offset, maybe 3/8 inch, comes from the factory actually on the GTs. When you add the springs, you can increase that by a bit and get maybe an inch, .5 on each side, out of spec

BTW, front height from the ground to the top edge of the fender wheel well was 28 1/8 inches. Rear was 28 7/8 inches. This is with 17" wheels and 235/55 tires (Nero Zero's with 2500 miles).

Get any spring you want and a adj panhard bar to re-center the rear....Tacobill has a write up on the install and you could do it yourself. very easy IMO and I am not a mechanic. You even get the torque specs for the one time bolts that Ford uses. If you cant get them to stay at the recommended ft.lbs (129 ft/lbs for the LCA's for example) then go to the dealer and get new hardware for the suspension parts that were replaced. Lower that beast! I know you have been talking baout it in other threads.....so do it and you will not have any regrets!

Most people go with the Adjustable Panhard bar, but if you want a way to "prevent it," the answer is getting a Watts Link. The Watts will never get out of alignment side-to-side even under compression. you really don't need it unless you really push the car on a track, but some people like it on the street, it will also fix that side-to-side motion the car makes when you go over a bump on the freeway sometimes; you know how the back end will feel like it's kind of stepping out?
