Default Question for the Cervini guys

Hey guys we are looking into putting the cervini side exhaust kit on our 06 GT and have a few questions about clearence. Exactly how far away from the ground does it sit? We have speed bumps in our neighborhood, will they scrape every time we go over them? I would hate to spend 1300 dollars just to see them get scraped up. Obviously I love the look, I just need to know a little bit more about the practicality. Thanks guys, I just want to know what Im getting into before I purchase.

I was worried about the same thing, but dont let the worry of clearance deter you from purchasing the side exhaust. Yes, they are low. But as long as you go SLOW over the speed bumps, preferably angled, you will be absolutely fine. I am at stock height on 20 inch wheels, I have about 3 or 4 inches of clearence at the lowest point of the exhaust system (which are the clamps that hold the exhaust tips on). Sometimes scraping is inevitable, ive done it a LOT. The beautiful thing about it is you ONLY scrape the clamps...and the clamps are steel and will take a LOT of scraping. It sounds bad when it happens, but nothing really happens if you just lightly scrape it.

Anyways, hopefully you join the side exhaust crew!

So lowered with this kit is basically impossible? How bad is the wheel gap or are you running taller sidewalls. The stock wheel gap is ridiculous.

the wheel gap is annoying, but i drive this car everyday. If i lowered it i wouldnt be able to do that, nor could i have any fun in it because i would always be worrying about messing it up.

My sidewalls are only 35's, gonna get 40's in the rear on my next set tho. The gap is still pretty bad.

It looks excellent in your sig because your diggin in that corner but i'd have to see about running like a slightly taller tire. or air ride it.

Wow, its amazing how similar you are to me boomer...I have the same **** even the 35s, and next time I'm going to 40s as well...Yeah, the clamps are the only thing that really ever scrapes but unfortunately if you do it enough, like I have, you will have a bent *** exhaust and a few times my muffler even came off the pipe halfway so it just sounded like it was farting. Oh well though, its the greatest part of my car in my opinion and worth every penny.

for the savage look of the car i guess it's really not that bad. I'd just go with 20x11.5 and 20x10.5 with some bigger tires. Hows the quality holding up on those pieces?

Wow Boomer and Eleanor, great cars! Boomer yours doesnt look so bad as far as clearence goes. The front looks like you could have some problems though. I think Im going to go for it. Just need to confirm it with the Mrs. first. Haha Do you suggest running 20s instead of 18s for wheels? Will I have enough clearence on 18s? Or is it just safer to get 20s? Thanks for all the replys guys.
