2010 4.0 V6

I'm one of those folks who gets a car and hangs on to it for a very long time.
It is comforting to know that Motor Trend did a comparison of the Challenger V6 3.5 against an '07 V6. Even though the Challenger had more hp (250), the Mustang still out ran it. Challenger only offered a 4 speed tranny while our 4.0s have a 5 speed stick.

I wouldnt mind "settling" for a Hemi with a slushbox on days i dont feel like shifting, but keeping the Stang for days when I want to cut loose a bit.

there is no way i am selling my s197, i got pages of a list of mods in store for mine all i need is time and money, there is no need to have the latest and greatest, i am 100% happy with what i got and all the people that know me always say they cant even come to imagine me selling the stang, and neither can i. all my friends always tell me that they could never see me driving anything else, but this particular car
this car is going to stay with me for a long long long time

I'm not going to switch because its impossible for me to do so. Got my stang used with 43k on it for $12 grand and I'm certainly not going to get anywhere near that with the 60k I've got on it now.
Car has been running solid anyway, and they aren't offering Legend Lime in the 2010 models (although that Sunset Gold looks sharp). I'll drive it until it dies, and hopefully by then I'll have the job I'm going through college for, and I'll buy a Corvette or whatever GT is out at the time. Maybe throw a crate in my current car if the body is in decent enough shape.

I am keeping my current mustang bc just starting with the mods. I will say though that I don't hate the new look as much as others. Little disappointed about the same engine packages. But I like the new interior and like the front end of the V6. Not so high about the taillights though but thats my only major cosmetic problem with it.

I wouldn't want to lose money just to get a newer model. I have an 11sec DD project in the works, and would rather put the money towards that over getting a newer model and switching bolt-ons. Why lose money just for a newer model. IMO bolt-on 2010 mustang V6 < 11sec DD turbo V6.

Im keeping mine just got it two months ago for my first car and was so excited seeing as I was looking at these when my brother was getting his first car when these first came out. Plus the fact that I had a mod list started before I even got the car .

I'll be keeping this one awhile so I haven't bothered reading much on the next gens yet. Do they plan on keeping the 4.0 for the duration of the next generation? I thought a new 6 was in the works. Sounds like Ford may do the BMW thing, introduce a new body in 2010, then a year later throw in new motors for 2011. While it sucks for early adopters it's good for Ford economically since it adds a bit of demand to an already available style.
