Default 1-2-3 brake lights all on

I'm going to pass on the sequentials for now. What I'd like to do is add a new socket to the inner banks on the lights so all three work for turns/flasher/brakes. Pretty straight forward mod except for finding the parts. This thread shows a Chrysler part being used. I had an interesting phone conversation with someone at Advance...I can't find that number, what kind of car? Well it's a Chrysler part but it's for a 08 Mustang. He didn't know what to say about that. At this point I knew there was no hope so I decided to have fun with the poor guy...Chrysler and Ford are the same, right? I mean Ford just bought Chrysler, right? Anyhow...Pepboys can special order them for $13 a piece. I've found them for $5 on the net. Anyone know of a Ford part # for this?

I have no idea about what you said after you want all three lights on steady.

The meter4it kit has three options, chase, sequential, and all three on steady like you are talking about. Beyond that I cannot help you.

damn you guys are dumb, instead of just the outside two of the three brake bulbs he wants all three to shine when the brakes are applied, which is a good idea if you find out where and how to do that let me know

Thanks ricekiller. Since no one looked at the link let me explain a bit better.

There's 3 slots on each taillaight. 1-2-3 and 3-2-1. 1 and 2 have sockets that support dual filament bulbs, number 3 doesn't. So when the parking lights are on, all three slots light up. When turn signals/flashers are on just 1 and 2 go to the second filament. What I'd like to do is wire in dual filament sockets in slot 3 so all three slots light up for all actions.

Now, trouble is finding a Ford part # for that socket. The link shows someone using a Chrysler socket to achieve what I'm after. I'll go with the Chrysler part if I had too, but would rather find a Ford socket if possible.

Clear enough now or do I need to break out some drawings? And again, I'm not going with sequentials, I don't like how they do the sequencing while braking.

The meter4it kit has two replacement sockets that are what you want. Gary, the guy who runs that business, is a pretty nice guy. I'll bet if you got in touch with him, he would help you. His email address is Info@meter4it.com

BTW, the bulbs that Ford puts in the inner sockets are the same as the bulbs in the other sockets, so you won't have to buy new bulbs for the replacement sockets.
