Cant speak for the 08 but the wheels on my 07 are polished aluminum. I think they have a clear coat on them that might lead someone to believe that they are plastic.

If that guy doesn't have a Mustang why would you believe him? I get told stuff like that all the time by folks who have never even owned a Stang.

..this came as an extra on my '08. As already stated, this center cap is plastic, but the rest is chrome....

Yes they are chrome and heavy. I think each rim and tire weighs @55 lbs. American Racing Shelby series torq thrust deep dish in chrome with the ford running tri bar center cap looks better. Spend the money on those and there lighter. I sold my factory 18 polished wheels and tires for $800.00 and went with the AR wheels and BFG kdw2 and it rides,handles and looks awsome!
