Wow, I am just amazed.

A recent clutch setup I had went with was the stage 4 clutch and pressure plate from the Competition Clutch company. Clutch had nice engagement and feel when one day the clutch went to the floor. Over-extended my throw out bearing. So my mechanic, who has been nothing but the best (real street performance) called them up and let them know that their system was out of whack. So then we tried using the same clutch, but with a stock pressure plate, doing a little R&D for Competition, which Competition paid entirely for (parts and labor). Well that didn't work out. So once again, my mechanic calls them up to let them know. I had been telling my mechanic that I was thinking about just taking the plunge and buying the mcleod RST since I just want something that works and have already had a bunch of clutch issues. Well after getting off the phone with Competition, they said they had all the parts at their shop to try and come up with a solution, but if they couldn't figure one out in a short amount of time, they would buy me the Mcleod RST!

I couldn't believe they offered that. Talk about making sure the customer is satisfied! I should be getting a call from my mechanic in a day or two to see what the final verdict is. SPEC could really take a chapter from Competition's book.

Well if they can't come up with a quick solution they are going to buy the Mcleod for me. They obviously want to offer a clutch that will be capable of performing correctly. I'll wait it out to see what happens, I'd rather not spend $700 if someone else is willing to spend it for me.
