Would the car not be a nose heavy pig?

Hey cort, you might pm rygenstormlocke if you are thinking of using the sixxer shell. He has a little experience in that area. I am sure with money and time you can do it. It would be quite interesting too! Good luck and tell us what you find out bud!

probably...although I could spend some $$ on some carbon fiber parts (hood, driveshaft, front fascia...cause the v6 will need it) to help out a bit

I really need to get an estimate on the weight of it though...the GT500 setup is over 800 lbs, so that would be something to compare to

I also found this when looking around

http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...ustang-gt.html

I would say it has some good info....it is quite a bit longer it appears so it will require some work to get her in there.

Nope.

First off, to avoid confusion, our cars are unibodies (I'm sure you know this)...
They have frame rails that are interrupted under the front seats roughly.

All body shells from 05 to now, are identical.
The Cobra has a HD crossmember to support the 5.4 set up.
All the sheet metal is the same, only the bolt on stuff changes from car to car.

Of course, convertibles are reinforced over a coupe to make up for the roof strength that is no longer there.

That info seems promising to go with a v6 chassis...is there an internet source (reliable) you can point me to for that information?

Take you time reading as much as you can...
Once you start a project, a lot of money will be wasted if you quit.

A Terminator mill would be a good way to go, at very little extra weight.
I haven't seen that Combo on a S197 yet.
Maybe I'll do that, lol.

I have been interested in a carbureted stroked Windsor to put in a S197.
Haven't found a wrecked sixxer cheap enough yet...

Not really, since I haven't regurgitated that thought yet.
I have other project to finish up first, before I get serious about that.
