GOd I hate LA. lol
I installed the Stinger's on my ride with no other modifications to the exhaust. I find the sound to be very accepable in my case. Most of my highway driving is in the 70 to 75 mph range and the sound is deep, without drone. In the city, I like the sound when getting on it! Now, with that said, I do find the Stingers drone while driving between 40 and 65 in 5th gear but I rarely drive in that speed range so for me, the drone is a non-issue. If I am just crusing around town between 35 and 45 in 5th without any real load (level ground) it is relativly quiet. As I approach a grade, I simply down shift to 4th or 3rd as need be and no drone. Just a nice sweet deep throaty rumble!

I was torn between Pypes mid muffler or boomtubes. I hear both have little or no drone. From all the sound clips I've heard...I can't really tell the difference between the two. So I went with the Boomtubes for 1. cheaper and 2. ease to install. Picked up a used set from Brenspeed for a pretty good price. The Pypes MM went up $70.00 in price.

thanks again for all the replies. I would have kept the stingers but I have to drive at 60mph for 20min to and from work every day due to traffic and the drone was on my last nerve. Anyway, so, boom tubes, mid muffler, I'm also considering the flowmasters. I was looking at a friends 07 convert. GT earlier tonight and noticed them. he says they arent bad. anybody have experiences with those? they sound awsome just revving in a parking lot.

I dont know, the stingers sounded alot different over the entire range than my gta's. although, they do sound more similar in the upper revs. thats where the GTAs really sound nice.

I've run Stingers,GTA's,MAC's, and the new Bullitt muffs. I finally settled for the Flows.
Stingers and Mac's ...lots of drone.
GTA's ...sounded great but very quiet.
Bullitts....need the whole Bullitt system from the CAI and back from the manifolds.Really quiet.
The Flows bark really nice through 4th and I feel the best benefit is minimal drone in 5th.I really wish Flowmaster would spend and use stainless metal instead of their painted metal which I feel is the cause of the baffle coming loose due to condensation and humid weather(rusting out) in certain areas. I found another new pair on e-bay just in case the Flows come apart.
