Default $400 takeoff hood

Is the hood actually worth $400? I damaged my hood and it will cost $500 to repair. I found a shop locally that have a takeoff hood in Tungsten but it has the factory hood scoop. They offered it to me at $400 with installation free.

Seeing as it is still cheaper than the repair I would go for it (especially since it comes with the scoop and free install.) Of course you could always hunt around if you want to find a cheaper price.

TruFiber sells some nice aftermarket hoods for under $500 unpainted. Ford is nuts.

Yep.
My Foose hood is $980, witch is also nuts, but justified somewhat, since Chip has to get the underside part from Ford before he puts his skin on...

Haha, you crack me up!
No need for bailouts! Let's sell 05 and up hoods at a defying price boys...

That alone should keep 'em in business, lol.
