Default slippery clutch pedals

how do you guys drive in the rain, cuz my wet shoe slips all over the clutch pedal, I try wiping it on the carpet but never helps. I went to AutoZone yesterday and they had these pedals which the clerk claimed suppose the hold ur shoe in place but I wasnt so sure and they were only 13 bucks. Is there any ford authorized rubber pedals that I can buy?

I use a set of aftermarket metal pedals from Autovation.net. Much more grippy than rubber.

Keep an old towel in the car to throw down on the driver side footwell for those rainy days. Step the soles of your shoes on it as you get in, you'll be fine, and your carpet will stay drier/cleaner as a side benefit.

The S197's pedals are not nearly as slippery when wet as those in a 2001 Anniversary Edition Maxima, where I learned that trick really quick.
Slippery brake pedal = even worse fail than slippery clutch pedal.

My VW had this same problem. This is just one of the many reasons
I got an auto.

True the cluth gets very slippery when it rains...... I've thought about buying some aftermarket pedals like chrome ones but maybe the chrome would be even more slippery!!

I got the Cobalt pedals from Moss motors, a vendor here. They do not slip when my shoes are wet. I'd definately recommend them.
