Default Pony hurt by idiot driver.

I was in the parking lot right behind a POS 1975 chevy nova. He was waiting for a parking spot and he back up to make room for the car backing out. While he was reversing, going about 10 MPH. He didn't even look back and ram into the front of my car. The paint is chipped on the bumper and hood. There is a big gap now between the hood and fender.

At first it freak me out because the issurance card he showed me was expired. I was afraid he didn't have insurance. He had some crap insurance called camarillo insurance. There was no phone number to called. He agreed that he would call me back after he got home to give me the phone number for the insurance company, but he never did. Luckily I wrote the address down for the insurance agent where he bought the insurance from and drove there to get the phone number.

Now I have a question that needs to be answered. Is there anything else on the car I should check for damage? He ram into my car pretty hard and im afraid there could be damage else where.

I remember someone telling me that the police won't come unless there is an injury.

Police report +1! Especially if what he handed you was expired!

If you were parked at a shopping mall, the police will do nothing. Unfortunately many business parking lots are private property so unless there is a threat on some one's life, the police will not report anything.

You could check to see if there were any security cameras set up in that area. Also do a Google Map Search of that area and copy the Satellite view for your insurance company.

My daughter was hit by an idiot driving in a mall parking lot. So instead of waiting for the insurance company to figure out who was at fault, I did my own investigating and a check came in the mail within three days. I proved it was the other driver who was at fault.

Good Luck!
