Your SCT should show all of the codes generated.

just thought of something else...I had the fuel filter changed (Wix Filter) 2 weeks prior to the first incident. I had it changed at a local meinike shop...don't think it was a big deal...and the auto store said wix was a decent brand

Is it possible, that perhaps the fuel filter is randomly getting clogged or resulting in my car not starting or stalling?

You could have a flaky pump. Not sure though... I would check out the fuel rail pressure though, it will tell a lot.

Talked to another friend of mine who mentioned that perhaps I am flooding the engine by not turning the key all the way over when starting the car...especially considering how infrequent this has occured.

I don't think I have "bump started" the car....also, is it even possible to flood these engines in that fashion?

Not aware of "flooding the engine" on these cars and I doubt its your fuel filter. Do you have a professional shop you can take it to? I would start by having them check your MAF and then have them check the fuel pump. From there they can check the fuel lines and the rest of the fuel system.

I don't think it is possible to flood it in that fashion and if you did flood it you would have a white cloud of smoke that smelt like gas. Mine floods has since may of 05 before and after the kb and new motor... I don't get it! But back on subject. Check your idle air control valve. To do this just disconnect the boot from your throttle body and open the blade of the throttle body and clean behind with some throttle body cleaner spray or just a shop towel. Mine had some weird problems with dying while sitting in traffic or as I push in the clutch. Ever since I cleaned it out I haven't had a problem.

Just a thought.
Good luck man
Matt
