Default winter driving question

I'm concerned this winter about the window when i open the door. in the mornings when i get in the car (it's outside overnight), the window doesn't drop down that tiny bit to clear the weather stripping. when i shut the door, it then rests outside of the weather stripping. is there anything i can do about this?

Yikes. Check out the manual, there's a section in there about turning off the auto up/down thing so that doesn't happen.

yeah, turn the key on, put the window down, then close the door.
Sucks, but I guess Ford didn't think about ice on the window freezing.
Its happened to me, but when closed the door it did manage to close properly, but not in a manner I liked.

Try spraying de-icer before opening the door both the top and bottom.

I should have used de-icer myself last winter, however it appears that the doors/windows are tough enough.
The window got stuck many times and it still works fine.
It was the worst winter in my lifetime.
The car made it through without any issues.
In fact after 1 1/2 years of daily driving the only thing that broke was the rear deck lid brake light, only last week.
Not to shabby... one tough car.

Wow..I never really worried about this, but where I work,
my car sits outside from am in the morning till am in the morning.
I work from open till close 5 nights straight and my Stang is
always out during all the weather changes. When it snows
and ices up, which is often, my doors have actaully froze
shut. I never thought about the window thing. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like it is something to watch out for as it is getting cold (and snowing already) here in NJ. Most of the time my car won't be leaving the driveway in that weather , but if it does it is something to remember to watch out for!

My window froze up as well.. I gently closed the door and it done good.. No misclose or nothing.. Next time before i got in, i let the car warm completely up with heat/defroster for a good 15-20 min..
