Something interesting happened

I just put the Michelin's on my car Saturday. I agree, and they are a lot smoother ride also. I went from the stock 17" P-Zero's to 215-65-16. Really not much difference in height, from the looks of it. Just got about an inch of snow here, but I had no trouble getting up my driveway from a standstill. Always a good indicator.
Yesterday I swapped over to my winter tires because we were expecting some snow. I removed my Nitto 555's 295 in rear/255 up front. I put on a set of the best snow tires I could buy. Michelin X-Ice 2 all around on the stock rims. When I took it for a ride I couldn't believe my ears. The Michelin snows were almost completely silent. I mean, incredibly quiet. I know it's not a fair comparison cause the Nitto's are much bigger tires but WOW are the Michelins nice. Just thought I'd share because I didn't expect this from a snow tire.

I don't have a winter beater presently because people keep hounding me to buy my cars. What I mean is, I'll buy a fairly inexpensive car like 4-6 grand that I plan on using as a winter beater. Then I polish the heck out of it and make it sparkle because I enjoy doing that. Then my friends always ask if I want to sell it? So I sell it to them for a small profit.
I know what you mean every time I get a new Aston Martin or Gallardo, I to sell it for a little bit of profit, then start all over again.....lol
