So I'm totalled...
A few of you know i got hit while making a left turn by someone running a red light that had been on for like 30 seconds. Well i found out today that my car is officially totaled, which is a surprise. Turns out the chassis is bent beyond repair. Anyway, do you guys have any advice on what fair market value is and how to wisely spend the money (ideally, i'd like another mustang, of course) and other related things...i dunno, anything would really help at this point haha

Check your policy. What's your deductible?
Consider taking the cash and putting it down on a new GT. Dealers might like to hear you've got an insurance claim that'll cover a fat down payment.
Option 2: Find a nice used Mustang and pay cash for it. If there's no monthly payments, you could mod the chit out of it.
Option 3: Search the AutoTrader for a Honda and spend the rest on barbiturates.
Only half kidding.
First thing you gotta do is see what your cash level is. What's the at-fault person's contribution? If they have insurance. Don't leap too fast. There may be a rental car rider on your's or the butt-head's policy to carry you over 'till you make up your mind.
I sure hope your neck doesn't hurt.
Life is full of little - and sometimes big - bumps. Hopefully, someone else around here has better input.

Sorry to hear that, Staggolee. That's a total bummer. I was just in Corona like two days ago...
In any case, I'd agree that if you can now would be the time to upgrade to a GT. I would think that the dealers would be going pretty easy on any remaining '08 GTs... especially with all that's going on right now with the American automotive industry. I'd say it's worth checking into at least.
