Default Cruise Control OOS At Times???

Set at 70 on the way home today on the highway and the CC disengages. This 1000 miles after replacing the alternator at 36,600. So I when I get off the hwy, I pull into a parking lot, turn the car off for a few, start her back up and the cc works again. I turn it off manually and then it will not come back on. Did the same thing again... Car off for a few, started, turned it on and it works. Turn it off, and it would not come back on again.

Any ideas?

Of course I am out of warranty and now it seems this car is falling apart at 37K miles.

I think I'm in the same boat as you. Last night the CC was set to 65 and then all of a sudden it turned off. I tried to resume button, nothing. A couple of times I saw the CC dash light pop on for a few seconds, and then off again. I stopped, turned off the car, and CC seemed to work again, but this is troublesome.

I'm shootin' in the dark here, but try disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for 15 minutes and see if this "reboots" the system....

I think it was due to snow/ice/slush build up. It's worked fine ever since...
