18x9 and 18x10's?

I have 20" Dale Jr. Chrome Killers in a 8x10 Nitto 555 Tire all the way around... Love them... I was told if you stagger, you will wear out the front tires faster, plus you can't really rotate effectively for tire wear with a staggered setup...
So I went with 8x10's. I could be wrong, and to be honest, I am not sure I would really "NOTICE" the difference between staggered and not...
All I know is when I put my foot down, I have 2 20" 8X10's eating the asphalt down the road, and the handleing is definatly an improvement over the stock 16's. More Rubber = Better handleing IMHO.
Some call these 20x10's BTW... Its a 20" Tire, with 8Inches Deep and 10 inches Wide roughly, I believe that is what it works out to anyways...

So I was curious, is the best way to go with new wheels/tires 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear for better handling or is it just as effective
to go 18x9 wheels all around? Opinions? Comments? Suggestions? I'm looking at putting some AM Bullitt deep dish wheels/Nitto Tires on the GT. Any opinions on the Nitto
Tires? Never used them before but they look like a decent tire for the money. Thanks.

that most road-racing sanctioning bodies apply various wheel width limits even when there are few other equipment limitations.
Better handling means different things to different people, but if right-now turn-in and sharp steering precision are your goals you want to mount whatever size tires you
choose on as wide a rim as possible (up to about the maximum recommended width). If you'll notice, the OE 235/55-17's, 235/50-18's, and 255/45-18's are all mounted on
the widest recommended widths for those sizes. This wasn't something that happened by accident, and particularly with only the 235-width tires these 3500-lb stick axle
cars handle better than that description suggests that they ever should.
For 18 x 9.5", 255/45's will probably provide the sharpest and most accurate response. 275/40 or 285/40 may give a tiny bit more ultimate grip (a couple hundredths of a g
or so that you may or may not ever use) at a slight cost in response. I'm intentionally avoiding the appearance factor.

there's no right or wrong answer to this one, it's all about preference.
my first set of wheels and tires were the same at all 4 corners (20x8.5 w/Nitto 555 255/35/20's) and it was nice to be able to rotate, but as soon as I added the S/C, I ended up loosing tracking so I decided that as soon as it got close to needing new tires I would just buy new rims also. I now have 20x8.5 w/Toyo Proxe 4 255/35/20's up front & 20x10 w/Toyo Proxe 4 295/30/20's out back.
The Nittos were great tires and I would definitely recommend them. The only reason I don't have them now is because they didn't make the size tire I wanted.

You're correct that they're a "High Performance Summer Tire" however, the KDW2's also handle VERY WELL in the rain.
