other than #3, this has to be crap. funny though....
disabled the seat belt chime in the last mustang (04 cobra) and felt like an idiot doing all that stuff. i kept telling myself, theres no way this is actually going to work...

Not strange at all once you've gone through the procedure for turning the perimeter lighting either off or back on (this feature may not be available on your '05).
#1 is essentially the throttle calibration procedure that's in the FSM. With DBW, if the PCM does not know what signal voltages coming into it correspond to the endpoints of throttle position (i.e. fully closed and wide open) it cannot correctly interpret what any throttle position in between them means, either. This procedure is how you tell the PCM where the closed and wide open throttle positions are.

Technically correct BUT... You're gaining HP from the published value of 300. The more aggressive tune is similar in HP gains as any custom tune is. Your statement is like saying a custom tune is only gaining you HP that was there all along.
