I totally agree with you. I had straight pipes and people seemed to like it, but more importantly i liked it. I ended up changing to an offroad h and flowmasters but i would definitely do straight mufflers, i like the sound of mustangs

SLP loudmouth all the way.
May be better (more expensive) setups out there, but, for bang for the buck, loudmouths all the way

well these sound fine, as does tomb's (ive heard that one in person), which i did not know was a straight pipe until now

i do recall that vid of straight pipes a while back, and it sounded terrible. made by the guy who put a CB in his stang and went offroading with it

yes that would be him....to me its just no refined, at higher RPMs its not bad, but lower RPMs reminds me of a dump truck. LMs are not bad, the add a little control to the sound

Boomtubes >>>>>>>>>>>>>> SLP Loudmouth.

That is, unless you like your car to sound like a garbage truck...

Here is a video of Kooks LT Headers, Kooks X-Pipe, Pypes Mid-Muffler System.

I have the same setup and personally I think it sounds amazing and it's loud as hell when you floor it!

also here are two videos of the same setup except with Corsa Axlebacks instead of the Pypes MM System. These seem pretty loud too, not sure which setup I'd prefer but I am happy with the one I have!
