Ok so i started out with straight mufflers and i decided i needed more sound. I knew i couldnt run an offroad pipe with no mufflers because it would sound ridiculous, so i ordered some used flowmasters from ebay at the same time as my h. I love the sound of the offroad h and flowmasters ( not sure which one since i changed both at once, probably H) but they seem to have a horrible rattling noise from 2k-2.5k rpm. Anyone else have this issue?

My friend has flows and a O/R H, Judging from the sound of his car, I'm thinking the rattling you are refering to is actually just the noise of the exhaust.

I wish I could describe the sound with words, but I can't, so this comes off as a rather stupid post on my part... lol

i got it with a X it just sound like a shakeing sound when you accel.

If it is the sound of no cats then how come it sounds great at every other range of rpm's? I wish i was at home so i could get a sound clip, i am out of country until after christmas :-(

Double check that all the joints are fully inserted into one another and torque down the clamp bolts well. Even if they don't look or feel loose, they will rattle. OR, you've picked up a harmonic and a heatshield is rattling.

What your probably hearing is the trumpeting.

It's def the trumpeting. It's just the raspyness of the exhaust note

Or check those mufflers. Make sure nothing internal rusting away.

holy smokes man i need to check that stuff out!! I am out of the country until the 27th, so i really can't look at anything. I do not think it is the raspiness of the offroad pipe because i have 3 friends with offroad pipes and theirs do not have a very loud rattle like mine...

u've got to stop crying...lmao...its not as bad as he's saying guys...IMO i think its just the raspiness yo...yeah we all know you want urs to sound as clean as mine...i say sell the OR pipes and do what i did...more money for more mods...o by the way my purge kit is on the way...ooo boy is it gonna be nice...gonna take pics of my baby at the beach when i go home for the holidays...ill have to send em to u when i do...did you read my pm?
