Gotta agree with Rub. The vast majority of wheels and tires are sold with appearance not lower than about a close second priority. Most people are primarily "visual" about this topic.

Can't completely blame the aftermarket tuners and suppliers here - for lots, maybe most folks if you can't see or hear the difference it's hard to convince them that there is any, or if there is . . . is it worth it? The aftermarket is mostly supplying what sells best.

True hardcore performance is not a topic in which subjective appearance has any influence. Just the cold, unemotional technical stuff (with maybe a bit of testing where subjective "feel" does matter thrown in).


Those 305's on 8" or whatever -all I can think is , having seen a similarly poor combination at a car show where the individual honestly did think that it was "right".
