how low can an 05 go in (lbs)

Here's the list he pm'd me:
Light Weight Wheels - 60 lbs (Enkei RPF1 17" 5x114.3 35mm offset $899 shipped, available in multiple sizes)
racing seats 80 lbs
k-member - 100 lbs
spare tire 35 lbs
tubular suspention A- arms - 50 lbs
seibon carbon fiber doors - 300 lbs ($2500, and if you sell your doors you recover the cost of painting them)
Vogtland lowering springs - 20 lbs
Crumple Zone removal - 71 lbs
Seibon trunk lid - 30 lbs
I estimate that you're about 110 lbs down now.(I have aluminum driveshaft, gutted trunk, lightweight radiator support/front sway delete, and rear seat delete).
DISECT THE LIST BOYS!!! Tell me what you think is worth it and isn't. I'm really curious and going to try and look up if those doors actually knock off 300lbs.

I dont think removing the crumple zone is a good idea, especially if its a daily driver. I too will want to look into those doors. They seem pricey, but maybe I can find a better price. Thanks for posting that Joe.

I would like to explore all the possible ways to reduce or redistribute weight on a 05 mustang. both low buck , high buck , diy ,and professionally done.
I am trying to find the most bang for the buck so keep that in mind.
Also keep in mind that I still want it to be street legal and structural sound.
I would like to still have the mustang look like a mustang from a distance.
I assume the stock curb weight is 3300 lbs

Is this weight loss primarily being sought for drag racing? I'm wondering how a hundred lbs could be taken out of the K-member without adversely affecting chassis stiffness and consequently, handling goodness (also wondering what contribution the crumple zone adds here).

17x7" wheels. I like a little bit of meat on my tires, and I for one don't want CF doors protecting me in a crash and I would like my crumple zone. Thanks, but no thanks!
If you have a daily driver, I would keep the spare.
Everything else seems okay (but not great) though.

Small correction, instead of K-member it should read "k-member package" and instead of "100 lbs" it should read "120 lbs". Furthermore the "a-arms" entry is incompatible with a k-member package, I wrote that off the top of my head and it wasn't edited using my actual tech notes in the pm.
Only other part I didn't check 100% which I took off the top of my head was the weight reduction of the vogtland springs, it could be anywhere between 10-30 lbs but yes. That list wasn't designed to be 100% public.
Also the 17" Enkei wheels come in multiple sizes, you can even get 17"x10" in the wheel sizes.
Instead of running a spare tire get a 3 lb flat tire repair kit.
Furthermore before you dismiss driving a mustang with parts of the front and rear missing, ask yourself if you would drive this car on the street, some people pay $45000 to do so :

And yes, I'd consider daily-driving one under the right weather conditions.

This is very interesting.. I had seen the carbon fiber doors and they look real sweet. Wondering if a carbon fiber trunk lid was drop the weight any. The part that sucks is none of the websites tell you what the weight savings is over stock which worries me. If I had a carbon fiber replacement part I would be telling everyone how much lighter it was than stock unless it really wasnt. Now the doors I am sure they are much lighter but assume that is also without the internals?? 300 lbs is a lot of weight I didnt think a door weighed 150 lbs... anyone???
