I looked at the 555's too, but the INVOS have a lower UTG rating by 40 points so they should have a softer compound.

I have run 555's in the past as well.

Yea they are softer, but if you look at reviews on these sites the 555's seem to be rated better both by the site AND customer reviews.
Just trying to help lol

No, help is good I was just stating on why I picked the INVO. I also kind of like the weird tread pattern.

555's are a great tire I just thought I might see slightly better traction with the softer compound, and they are $5 cheaper lol.

Yea like i said the 555 doesnt have the cool pattern--its def a plus and adds some style. Either way you couldn't go wrong. Good luck!

If you look at the Nitto website and compare the 555 and the Invo, the Invo wins in every category. Slightly better dry traction, better wet, quieter, and rides better. This may all be due to it being softer though.

I just got some Kumho SPT 255/50/17s, they are awesome, I don't have a SC yet but for daily driving they kick a**, for the track I got M/T ET Street Radials 275/40/17s mounted on spare stock bullitts and I kept two of my old Perelli's for the fronts when racing, again on stock bullitts. This way I got a set for street and set for strip, its the only way to go !!!

Maybe you could get 2 wheels to match the wheels you have now and put DR's on them?

I used to have a second set of rear wheels and tires for the GT (Back before I switched to Bogarts) I had 6 matching wheels and I just swapped the back wheels with the street tires or the DR's according to the need or weather.
+1 on the INVOs

That's exactly what I do with my track tires. I want to go fast and look good doing it. Now I have 2 extra 17" wheels I'm considering putting bias ply slicks on from MT. We will see.

I ran Kumho Ecsta SPTs on my 2007 in 255/50/17 (tire rack). I was very pleased with them, and they were fairly cheap too. The car wasn't blown, but it was no longer able to really chirp the tires hitting 2nd and 3rd like it was on the stockers, so I know they were biting much better. I am planning to buy them again after I tear up mine a little bit with the S/C.
