Weight of internal TPMS crap

Nope...no such luck. No access to that side of the system. Ample threads for Ford techs here stating it is impossible to get the TPMS disabled.
You have to grin and bear it...or remount TPMS.
Another option is just making the TPMS "bomb". These DO work and will cost you all of $5 at Home Depot. Some 2" PVC, a couple caps a Schrader valve and you are GTG. Toss it int he trunk with 30ish psi and forget about it.
Ironically, when I switched to my new wheels, the dealer did not train them. Within 20-25 miles the "TPMS Sensor Error" came on the info screen and that annoying little tire warning icon. When I came home and pulled int he garage...it would go off automatically as my old wheels were on the side of the garage (about 15' away from the car...amazing they have that kind of range. A "recharge" and I would have another 20 miles before I errored out.
Today I bought the training tool from Ford for $18. Wow...something cheap for a change.
Took all of 30 secs to train all four wheels...and I am GTG with no lights.
FWIW, I got the sensors on Ebay as a set for $40. Bands cost me $48 for all 4 as I just ordered a massive hose clamp from our local hardware store. They had to order them...but they came in just 2 days. So for $88 I have a legit setup I dont have to worry about.
