Default freezing (literally) with the top down in my GT!

I really love my GT vert and will drive with the top down as much as humanly possible! Woke this morning to an absolute beautiful clear morning Friday. This is the day I drive my car to work. Only problem was the thermometer said like 30 degrees.....WOW! I said to myself I will give it a shot for my 30 mile jaunt to the place I make money. Temp in the car got as low as 31 and a high of only 37 the entire trip. I had on a sweatshirt and a fleece vest and was quite confy the entire trip with the heat on and the windscreen up. I put the windscreen down for about 6 1/2 seconds as that was as long as I would last without it. Great drive to work and yet another point for a well purchased product for my car. I know that people were looking at me like I was crazy, but I was very comfortable and rode to work in style and fresh air.

Haha all I can say is your lucky to still be driving it even if it is a bit cold because mines currently covered up with a ton of snow on it

Not sure if this applies to the particular roof material that Ford uses, but I have been told in the past that putting the top down below a certain temp is not the best idea. I believe this is due to the fabric contracting while the top is down. Putting it back up adds extra stress as the top will be a little smaller. This may eventually lead to tears in the fabric after many cycles. But anyway, sounds like an invigorating drive!

Oh well.....that's what a warranty is for. The top is down in my car probably 75% of the time. She sits cozy in the garage. I will keep that in mind when I put it up and be sure it is fairly warm in the garage before doing so.

Cruisnig in a convertible with the top down and windows up.... about as strange as **** in the sugar bowl! In the picture your windows are up, so I only assume that you drove to work with them that way, and the heat on full blast! Don't get me wrong, those heated seats are nice on the cooler nights, but I'll NEVER have the top down and windows up.

There is about 3 feet of snow on the ground and its -36 C today... mines nestled away in the warm garage, so at least you get to drive yours!

Because I can and was comfortable too boot. I personally don't smoke anything, just prefer the top down as opposed to up when possible.
