Default Heated Seats

I have a 2009 GT/CS with heated front seats. After having them turned on for about 15 minutes or so they shut off. I can turn them back on right away and they operate fine, but 15 minutes later they shut off again. I was wondering if they are made to do that? Some type of safety feature because of the airbags in the seats? Thanks in advance.

Its normal in case you dont have your owners manual close by.. some kind of safety feature I think..

can you program it so that the heated seats are on when you start the car?

my wife like her seat on all the time, so I have to figure out a way to override the auto shutoff switch (unless someone else has already?)...

I can't see how it could be a safety feature, as most cars allow the seats to stay on until you either turn them off or turn the car off.
