Anybody Running these Springs?
Hey guys,
I was browsing over Roush's website looking at suspension and I came across these
http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=1007
It says that it works best with stock shocks and struts which would save me some money down the road but I just wanna know how much it improves handling and how close my roush bumper would be to the ground

get the frpp springs. i love mine. struts/shocks are recomended, but you can skate by for a while without. i even called the dealer and they told me the frpp's wont void the suspension warranty!! shoot me a p.m. if you want to come see my car to see what they look like in person.

I think ill definitely have to come check those out. I take it you still have your stock struts? Did you notice any handling improvements?
I wonder why the roush ones are recommended with stock struts

yah, come check it out, i'm off this whole week from work so i'll be arround. the reason roush, and a handfull of other spring retailers recomend swapping struts when you do springs is that when the vehicle is lowered the struts are more compresed all the time and this is harder on them. aftermarket struts are somewhat built to handle this condition better than the factory units.
i did notice a great difference in cornering behavior. the frpp springs are "progressive rate" springs meaning they ride good when cruising, but when you compress them further than normal, (example; hard cornering) they get stiffer. and for $200 you cant beat 'em.
by the way, the frpp springs are the same as the eibach "pro-kit" springs. frpp has eibach make the springs for them. and even though the drop is advertised as being different between the two, everyone pretty much reports them being the same.

How long do you think we could go without replacing shocks/struts? and what would be the consequences of not replacing the shocks/struts?
