Default V6 grill on a GT..?? WTF

Ok I see all these nice black out grills for the V6 but the ones for the GT are 200+ more dollars what gives... Now Im tempted to just drop the coin and try it but IF someone else has already let me know. Here is what Im looking at !

The other one listed for the GT REQUIRES you to DRILL into the bumper..Id rather not drill into it.. the V6 verision has 2 screws and tabs NO drilling ! I just want to know if the V6 versions can fit the GT's .... there has to be someone out there that has tried this ! And I dont want black billet .... Im going for a flat blakc look and the black plastic is the closet thing to it !

well i had a v6 and put a saleen front on it which uses a gt grille. I had a v6 grille on it for awhile. Here are the pics. It is warped looking since the latches on the sides of the grille dont match up well with the gt latches.

if you look closely, you can see the gap in the corners and on the bottom of the grille

unfortunately i dont have any other pics since i replaced the grille with a gt grille

I was just thinking about this today as well since I've been eyeing that same grille for mine but in chrome. I more than likely will switch to the GT front end and dont wanna have to pay twice for a damn grille... Anyone know if it'll work?

Yes I found the sam grille on eBay for about $50 cheaper SHIPPED

just so you know: a v6 grille will work on a gt bumper, BUT it will not fit 100% correctly and look somewhat out of place. (the other reason my grille looks warped on the bottom is because i had forgotten to change the foam piece und er the bumper cover which is diff on the gt)
