Line-lock for S197
#21
The SLP line locks are $155.00 from JEGS.
I'd pass on the Autometer shift light/ tach. I'm on my second one. They don't seem to care for the heat too much. I'm actually removing mine for a different gauge. I ended up going with a Autometer quick lite and MSD tach driver.
I would also caution against putting the shift light in the center pod. Your not going to like it in the right lane. I have my new shift light pointed right at my face off the A pilar much better!

Man, I am sooo glad you came back to this post PLstang.
I plan to go with the SLP line lok for name brand alone and was undecided over the console or pillar pods.
I think I may go with a 3-pillar pod now.

I have an SOS center pod and an SOS pillar pod. I have the Quick lite mounted along the AF gauge in the A pillar pod. The metal bracket fits right in as you insert the gauge. Works perfect and keeps the shift light in my peripheral vision no matter which side of the tree I'm on.
I also like using the chips on the MSD tach driver. Raptor is cool and the Autometer shift gauge is pretty neat. But you start beating on the car, putting it in some heat, those little wires get loose or the heat gets to the electronics. I just stopped trusting them. We mounted the MSD tach driver in the glove box, works great!!

Lol.. now we're between light track use and all-out breakages with a 9 second car...
i like the idea of pillar mount shift lights though and think I'll go that route over the dash mount. you're right about the sight-line and plan to do this one time only. thanks for the input man.

Well you have a valid point!! LOL I keep 2 packages of the plastic plugs that hold the plastic radiator cover on. I loose one or two plugs every pass my car launches so violent.
However, I'd still take a pass on the Autometer DPSS gauge/shift light. I had problems with mine when the car was a 11 second ride!
