I bought my own super adhesive 3m tape. Cleaneded the glass and around the glass very well, went over with alcohol pad, then installed them. Took me longer to apply the tape to the louvers than to actually mount them.

ok, i looked at cdc's website instructions and it looks like there is a tab on the louvers, and it sits in the gap at the back of the 1/4 window and thats how it lines up. that will help. i was under the impression that it was gonna be something i had to measure 100 times and stick it on and hope i measured right.

sweet, glad to hear its an easy install. i will as well be installing new 3m tape on mine. i got them used in the s197 classified area (thanks leo_06gt). hey by the way leo_06GT, are the back sides of the louvers painted also or should i get some paint??

The backs are painted black but not to a finish like the fronts. I'd recommend still lining the louvers up and using masking tape on the corners once you've got it lined up (Like the CDC instructions recommend) so they're not canted or slightly angled one way or another.

Hey I was wondering how those CDC louvers are holding up? I got them and am ready to get painted and installed. I was just curious how yours fit? It seems that mine have a big gap on the top and I'm worried the tape will not hold it on long. Any feedback will be appreciated.
That tab you are referring to....I would assume that fits in the gap of the body & window? If so, when I put mine in there it leaves almost a half inch of the window exposed on the front side. I went to a shop and they suggested to sand down areas on the inside to eliminate any gaps on the top portion and get rid of that tab completely so it sits flush with the body. Otherwise, if forced with any resistance it will want to peel away from the body and will, over time, peel off.
