Wow, I've never had that problem with my shaker. I always just turn the car off and it turns itself off just fine once you open a door. Do you enter and exit your car like Bo Duke? Or is your door switch malfunctioning to where it doesn't turn your equipment off when you open it?

it is not the shaker i believe it is the alarm system. i have turned my shaker off and go back a week later and will not start. my car has 3200 miles on it and if it sits for a week in my garage it will not start.

My car sits outside (to my dismay), I've turned it off, activated the alarm, and started it OVER a week later, and still never had any problems with starting. It fires right up as if I had only left it overnight.

Mine was dead after a few days once. I suspect the shaker problem but was unable to remember what happened when I last exited the vehicle before the event.

I had this problem alot before I changed out my shaker for a pioneer, I have not had the problem since and I have left my car without starting for as much as 2 weeks.

The Motorcraft battery (at least the stock used in a lot of our Stangs) are garbage in addition to the high number of drain-related dead battery issues on the forum. Get a new, NON-Ford battery.

I thought the stock Motorcraft battery in our Mustangs is a maintenance free type...yet I keep hearing that some folks have added water to it...What's the story here?
