Default Axle Backs...really a horse power boost??

All the manufactures claim an increase in HP with the addition of their mufflers. Yet I've also heard that after marker mufflers only improve sound. Air flow is improved somewhat but the performance improvement is limited. Any thoughts on this?

Maybe if you buy axle-backs that are a good amount lighter? That could maybe maybe a difference taking some weight off the back end.

Think about it this way :

Stock, you won't see much of a difference. Why you ask? You can't push more out until your sucking more in and vice versa. Now if you had a full exhaust and an intake/bolt ons you'll see more of a gain than initially. But like most have said, as is, their mostly look and sound good

Aside from AB, if you have a full exhaust, such as LT headers, how do the LT's add HP if you don't have more coming in?
