That dude must have flunked math! 1/2 tread at 23,000 means full life at 46,000!

Ok sounds to me like the guy is just trying to make money. It only stands to reason that if you dont beat on them that tires should last at least 40,000 miles.

thanks guys

if you have the pirelli p-zero's i'd replace them anyways. those are like the worst rain tires i've ever had on a car.

we replaced ours with some "cheap" riken raptors (made by michelen...sp?) and not only do they look better on the car it doesnt try to pull you off the road when you hit a puddle. i think all 4 tires with chrome valve stems and shipping were like 420 bucks

+1 LOL
A statement from a service guy thats obviously wrong
would make me run, run far away from there.

I almost went thru a set of the 17" Pirellis in about 10K
with religious rotation from front to back and side to side.
BTP out of them.
They were on their way out and had very little usable tread left.
Went to BFGoodrich g-Force KDWIIs on OEM 18" rims.
Now what to do with the OEM 17" rims?

You don't intend on buying tires from Ford, do you? The mechanic is just that. Try to think on your own and ignore the tech's drivel.

LOL 30K? That would be stupid if we had to get new tires every 30K miles even if you DO beat on your car every once in a while!

Do the Penny Test!!!

You should get at least 40-50K out of those tires.

If anything just rotate them

ive actually had 2 rotations in those 23k miles. so im good.

like i said sounds to me like the dealership cant sell cars right now so they are trying to get money through the service dept.

there is a nice tire place a 1/2 mile away anyway so screw ford when it comes to tires.
