RE: spoiler or no spoiler that is the question
I'm also with Redfire, the spoiler brings back memories of Mach 1's, Cougar Eliminators, GTO Judges. The shape of it looks great and it is very stylish, Ford got this one right. It was a must-have option for me I mean, just looks at Don's picture above and tell me that spoiler shouldn't be there

The only downside I have seen with the stock spoiler is trying to get it dried after washing it. You have to be careful and dry the bottom of the spoiler above the trunk or it will spot something awful. Using the Big Blue Towel II helps a lot. That thing will suck up some water. Not an issue with the ducktail. Love the look of the stock spoiler through.

Im kinda Old School here. Im from the 60's and there were lots of different makes of cars with spoilers. To me spoilers say..This car is special. Something different. And usually with a bigger engine and better drivetrain. It was in the later 70s on up that spoilers got a bad rep as something put on low powered cars just to generate enough interest in the crappy car to sell it. The 2005 Mustang GT is indeed a very special car, and Im proud to have a spoiler on mine. Amen. [sm=patriot.gif]

I would have to agree. to me every car now-a-days has a spoiler and it seems kinda over used. but being that the GT is muscle it would be kinda incomplete without one. so i guess im going with the spoiler after all. thanks for the input guys.

I followed a spoiler equiped mustang on the interstate the other day - we were both travelling a little over the speed limit. And boy was that spoiler flexing a lot! So in my humble opinion deleted is the way to go as it is a weight saving, an air flow improvement, and it doesn't look funny flowing around when you pass someone.

There is a black sixer in my hood that has no spoiler, I love the way it looks, very sleek and streamlined. I have a spoiler and I think it adds to the car, esp with the rally stripes. So I think either way it will look good, but that is just my opinion. And for the record, I have not noticed my spoiler flexing or anything while I'm driving.

I always thought they were cool since I started seeing them in the 70's.
