How serious are you about it being deleted?? I.e. do you ever want to put the spoiler back? There was a similar thread a few months back where I found a really FAQ that showed you how to fill the holes temporarily for about $20, I'll see if I can find it for you....

If you want the holes gone permanently then you may want to look at finding a a replacement trunk as you might find one cheaper than what it would cost for a bodyshop to do the work.....

EDIT here you go:

You should do what BigDude said just cover them temporarily cuz later on you might want to put something else on there!! You cant get cheaper than 20 bucks!!

I would just get the holes filled permanently or find a replacement trunk. My dealer quoted 4 hours for labor(1 hr. each hole), so 4 x hourly rate which is a bit expensive. But if you get tired of the look you could always throw a CDC Ducktail spoiler on.

OK I'd look for a whole trunk in your color then, time to start calling the scrap yards.....

You can use some epoxy to fill the holes then smooth over the epoxy with an emery cloth. Find the right color paint and paint over the spots. I did the same thing on a silver 2002 mustang I had. If you take your time the trunk will look like it came from the factory that way, and it cost me less than $20.00.

I struggled with the same dilemma for a year or two now. Was going to spend this winter saving for removal of the stock spoiler and addition of the SS ducktail.
HOWEVER...

Body shop, est about $400 to fill the 4 holes, refinish and repaint. New ducktail, about $275, painting ductail about $200. Redoing the rearend total, $900. Price of a GT500 spoiler off ebay, $100. As much I didn't want to admit defeat, GT500 spolier won. Although not exactly the change I wanted, hard to justify $900 to $100.

I may be forever in ducktail envy, but I'll have new 3.73 gears this spring!
